I'm really looking forward to doing the food photography, and of course tasting the recipes! 

The theme of the book is 'cooking for two' though there will be options for larger servings.

The majority of recipes are seasonal, with a collection that includes deliciously healthy options and extra special treats.

Betty's

 

I went to Betty's the other day. Firstly to Bettys's in York, then to Betty's in Harrogate. 

For a refined afternoon tea experience, there is simply nowhere better to go when in Yorkshire.


Awaiting upon my return home, was a wonderful surprise from Betty's. Delicious Fondant Fancies and Fat Rascals.

From humble beginnings. Seeds are sown, new branches grown ...

When opportunity knocks (loudly)

I can hardly believe it's been almost a year since I started the Mon Petit Café blog.

The posts have varied in substance and most of the older photos are pretty basic to say the least! Yet from humble beginnings, wonderful opportunities have presented themselves.

I am lucky enough to be able to spend time cooking, baking, photographing and experimenting with food, recipes and props. 

Having revamped the blog, I now have time to update and add new posts on a regular basis, style my photographs and create delicious, simple dishes that you can also try out at home.

I am in the process of compiling and writing up my first book based on 'recipes for two'.

Thanks for popping by, feel free to leave a comment and at the very least, I hope you'll be inspired to try out a recipe or two.
